No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Quite a price tag for something I could use a trash can for. The vented thing is nice though. The bottom is vented, which does stop me from ying when I take laundry out.
Definately high end though. I would never have bought this for myself. I guess I am just more spend thrifty than that.
