Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I got this clock for my son's room, which we did up as an African Jungle. He is 4 years old right now and still gets a kick out of the clock when the top of the hour hits. His favorite is Six o'clock, which is the elephant.
So far, I can't find a downside to this clock. Good stuff!
